Backlinks planning Part 2nd

search engine iptimization | backlinks
In the last article of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) we learn about backlinks planning part 1st. Today in the claas of seo we learn backlinks planning part 2nd.

Competition Level.

A) The best indication of how many backlinks you’ll need to rank well for a keyword is how many backlinks each of your competitors for that keyword have.

B) This is only a rough calculation, and does not account for the quality of those backlinks, however, if you get as many backlinks, of equal quality, as the average number that the sites currently ranking well for that keyword have, then it’s reasonable to expect your site to rank well also.

C) The common mistake focusing on numbers of backlinks, rather than the quality of them. You should be clear on the fact that backlinks aren’t all equal in value.

D) 1 high quality backlink can be worth 100+ low quality backlinks. :-

    1) From a relevant source.
    2) From a trusted source.
    3) Sends traffic.
    4) Exact, phrase, synonym match anchor link text used.
    5) In-content.
    6) On a page with PageRank.
    7) Not reciprocal.
    8) Few other backlinks on the page.
    9) Not easily acquired.
  10) Not paid for.

On-Site Optimisation

a) If you have a well quality of optimized(seo) website or blog, then you will need less backlinks than if you have a poorly or less optimised website.

b) To properly optimise your website or blog, there are many of steps or method that you need to do that, but the ones that have the most direct effect on reducing the number of backlinks that you need are:

    1)  point important pages only 1 or 2 clicks away from the homepage
    2)  degine the important  page such that it is not  located more than 5 clicks away from the homepage
    3) Directing authority towards the pages that you want to rank well
    4) Adding in-content links to important pages
    5) Removing unnecessary outbound links
    6) 301 redirecting non-existent urls that have backlinks pointing to them.
